Tanzania Premier League top clubs and club level rivals Simba Sports Club and Yanga Sports Club both fail to secure their first win in CAF competitions.

Yanga Sports Club faces Townships Rollers Football Club in CAF Champions League, the match ended with a one-one draw.

Yanga Sports Club records in CAF competitions since 2016 at home is not as good. In 8 matches they manage to win only 1 match against De Joachim, drawing 6 and lost 1 as well.

In 2018 they lost to Townships Rollers by 2 goals to 1 in the knockout stage of the champions league.

As that happens, their City and league rivals Simba Sports Club head coach spokes about their results.

“The match was open, we both tried to score, it is important we did not concede. The second leg is more important to us, we have great fans at home and the pitch is good , I think we will do better”

Simba Sports Club will play again against Ud Songo, in between August 23 and 25 this year as well as Yanga Sports Club.
