Silver Strikers football club has opted for the services of their former midfield maestro Hellings Mwakasungula as their new manager.
Mwakasungula who was part of Mlatho Mponela’s technical panel in the 2018 Chipiku Central region football league and helped the team earn promotion into the Super League, has been brought to the Bankers after the expiry of Francis Songo’s contract who was team manager.
Silver general secretary Lawrence Yobe said the club has opted for Mwakasungula as he is not new to the club.
” We have drafted Hellings Mwakasungula into our technical panel as team manager and his appointment has been confirmed by the club’s technical panel and him being not new to the club we expect him to be a good link between players and the technical panel “,Yobe said.
Mwakasungula who was the clubs caretaker coach in 2013-14 season and helped the team win the TNM super league will relieve off the club’s goalkeeper trainer Sibusiso Padambo who has been caretaker team manager since the suspension of Francis Songo mid way the second half of last year’s Super League.
