Mzuzu Stadium renovation underway
The Mzuzu City Council has started renovating the Mzuzu Stadium ahead of the 2019 Super League Season.
The stadium has not been in good shape since October 2018, a thing that forced the Football Association of Malawi not to allocate games at the stadium.
Mzuzu City Council Official were quick to comment saying they are happy with how work is being done on the ground.
“Our men on the ground are working tirelessly to make sure that the Stadium should be ready before the TNM Super League starts so that Mzuzu based teams and football loving people here in the Northern region should not miss any action”.
Moyale Barracks FC and Barracks FC who use Mzuzu Stadium as their home ground are delighted with the city Council for taking a step to renovate the stadium.
Charles Kamanga, coach for Moyale Barracks FC said “I am happy that they are putting the stadium in good shape again. This will bring a relief to us as we will be playing our game here in Mzuzu as we were forced to play our games at Karonga Stadium towards the end of last season due to the bad condition of the pitch”.
