Mzuni FC – would it work with only students?
Mzuzu University Council has given orders to their Super League side Mzuni FC to only have players who are students of the University in their squad for the 2019 season.
Donex Chilonga, who is Mzuni FC General Secretary said the clubs Executive Committee is yet to approach the council to ask them to reconsider its decision.
” As a committee we will approach the council to reverse the decision but if they will insist we will accept it but dropping non-student players will have an effect on the teams performance next season “, Chilonga said.
Mzuni Football Club has Charles Nkhoma, Bob Longwe, Pililani Makola, Henry Misinje as well as Victor Gondwe as non-student players likely to be affected by the councils decision and this comes at a time when the council is preparing to take part in the Airtel top 8 next season.
