Karonga United Football Club has announced the signing of Mude Jeffrey and Wakisa Mwenenguwo as they prepare for the fourth coming season. Jeffrey and Mwenenguwo who played for Kamuzu Barracks and MZUNI FC respectively in the 2018 season have each signed a 3 years contract that will run until 2022.
Aubrey Mwakhwawa, who is the clubs general secretary has confirmed the development. “We are looking for well experienced players as we will participate in all the competitions in the country this year”, Mwakhwawa said.
Jeffrey and Mwenenguwo are Karonga United’s major signings so far after they let go striker Sheriff Shamama to Silver Strikers.
In a related development, Silver Strikers Football Club has loaned out 3 of its players: Blessings Kameza, Timothy Chitedze and Damiano Kunje to city rivals Civil Sporting Club a development confirmed by the club’s general secretary Lawrence Yobe. “we have loaned these players to create room for new signings at our club”, Yobe said.
So far Silver Strikers has signed Ernest Tambe, Charles Thom and Sheriff Shamama.
