Something to smile about fo the Junior Flames.
The Malawi under 23 national football team can afford a smile after registering their first win in Belgium defeating Genk VV by 3 goals to 2.
In a match played on Monday evening, the Junior Flames were the first to score through Mike Mkwate and his goal was enough to give the flames a lead at the break.
Genk VV came a more changed side in the second half as they managed to score 2 goals but that was not enough to denied the Junior Flames a win as Patrick Phiri and Hassan Kajoke has goals to their names in the game.
Coach for the Junior Flames Meke Mwase was delighted for the win.
” We are here to learn and everyday we are correcting the mistakes being made and the win is a positive sign to us as we are able to score goals but still the learning process continues as we prepare to face Zambia “, Mwase said.
The Junior Flames have so far played 3 games in Belgium losing twice and only winning once.
