Teams from the northern region that take part in the TNM Super League are rumoured to be organising a Bonanza to be played on the 9th and 10th of February 2019 at Karonga stadium.
The unofficial communication suggests that the Bonanza will see Karonga United, Moyale Barracks FC, Mzuni FC and the newly promoted Chitipa United shall battle it out for the Bonanza top prize.
The Bonanza is said to be organised as one way of give a chance to teams to strength testing matches before the start of the Super League and to celebrate that for the first time in a while the region will have four teams participating in the top flight league at once as Karonga United, recently promoted to the Super League after winning was promoted after winning the Northern Region Football League.
An official from one of the teams, who didn’t want to be disclosed said they are still talking to potential sponsors for The Bonanza and that they will let the cat out of the bag once everything is finalised.
The communication has revealed MK1 Million Kwacha as the bonanza’s top prize while the runners up will go home with MK 750, 000.
